Membership Meeting
February, 2012
Meeting opened at 7:00 pm. 14 members present.
Meeting called to order by Commander James Johnson.
The January Membership meeting minutes were read and approved
Building Finance and Accounting minutes was read and approved.
The February Exec Board minutes were read and approved.

A new member, Dan Forschler was welcomed to our Post.
Post Finance Report was read and approved subject to audit.
Post Gaming Report was read and approved.

Don Karsky is having his 92nd Birthday Party on Feb 25th at 1 – 5. Anyone who knows Don is welcome to attend.
Old Business
Convertibles and other preparations for Midsummer was discussed.
The July 28th Legion Riders Event in July was discussed.
New Business
The Commander will set up a joint meeting with the VFW to discus the Memorial Day activities. He will also plan on asking the VFW’s and American Legions in the surrounding posts to participate in our Midsummer Parade.

John Lindhart requests any members with uniform issues to contact him as soon as possible. He is also planning a practice session in April for the Color Guard.

The Commander presented an option to replace the Preamble displayed on the meeting room wall. It was decided his option will be too small and the matter was tabled.

Orville Otterness presented a photo to be displayed in our Hall. The motion was made and passed to display it.

Updates for our Bylaws were discussed. Orville Otterness will complete the corrections and present to a Membership Meeting for approval.

A motion was made to approve up to $1,000 from Gaming Funds to replace the floor in the upper level storage room. The motion was 2nd and passed.

Projected Gaming Expenses were read and approved.
